Trent
Retirement Event
Objective
Design a flexible, impactful setup for the President’s retirement event at Trent University, while creating elements that could be reused for future events. The design needed to incorporate modern LED components, a custom arch, podium options, stand-alone custom letters, and other elements reflecting Trent’s identity, maintaining a professional and celebratory atmosphere.
Solution
The design featured four LED units in a banner style, complemented by a 10x10 LED-up display, creating a visually dynamic backdrop. A custom arch framed the main event area, enhancing the celebratory feel. Podium options with a wood-look finish were crafted to complement the "Ron Tomh" theme, offering a natural, timeless appeal to the overall design.
Stand-alone custom letters spelling "TRENT" were created as a reusable feature, ensuring these 3D letters could be utilized for future events to maintain consistent branding. These letters were designed for easy transport and setup, while providing a bold visual presence. A custom planter box was designed to match the custom "TRENT" letters, incorporating the same wood-look finish to create a cohesive, polished appearance.
The design allows for long-term use, with an option for future reskinning and updates to keep the event spaces fresh and relevant for future occasions. The setup met the immediate needs of the retirement event while laying a strong foundation for ongoing use in future Trent events.
